Adjust Carrying Value command (Accounts menu)

Use this command to display a form that allows you to enter and edit adjustments in value to the initial and supplemental inventory assets.

The Adjust Carrying Value Form offers the following options:

Account Category

Displays a list of Asset Account Categories from which you will select an Asset to Adjust.

Asset to Adjust

Displays a list of asset included in the selected Account Category. Click on an asset account to select it for adjustment.

Adjust Principal/Adjust Income

Use these buttons to choose whether to adjust the principal or income portion of the Asset to Adjust.

Adjustment Account Name

Provides a place for you to type a name for the adjustment account you are creating.

Adjustment Description

Provides a place for you to type a description for this adjustment. Text can be copied from a selection in the Prior Text drop-down box that displays in the toolbar.

Print Account if Zero Balance

Check this box if you want this adjustment account to print on reports even if it has a balance of zero.

Carrying Units

If applicable, displays the number of carrying units of the Asset to Adjust.

Carrying Unit Value

If applicable, displays the carrying unit value of the Asset to Adjust.

Adjusted Unit Value

If applicable, provides a place for you to specify a new unit value for the Asset to Adjust.

Carrying Value

Displays the carrying value of the Asset to Adjust.

Adjusted Value

Provides a place for you to specify a new value for the Asset to Adjust.
