New File dialog box

Allows you to create a new file in TotalTrust. The following data members are available:

Entity Type

Provides a place for you to designate the current entity type. This selection is used by TotalTrust to determine which standard account chart to assign to this document.

File Name

Provides a place for you to type a name for this document file.

Entity Name

Provides a place for you to type a name for this entity.

Date of first day of this reporting period:

Provides a place for you to specify the date for the first day of this reporting period.

TotalTrust uses this date as the beginning date for the first reports it generates for this fiduciary. If this date is designated as the first day of the initial reporting period for this fiduciary, it is used as the date of acquisition for assets added to the initial inventory.

Is this the initial reporting period for this fiduciary?

Provides a place for you to designate this reporting period as the initial reporting period for this fiduciary, i.e. the fiduciary held no assets prior to this period. If Yes, TotalTrust reports the inventory of assets as received by the fiduciary in the current reporting period.

Report beginning inventory as received? (Florida Reports Only)

For Florida reports, 'Yes' will cause Initial Inventory items to be reported as Receipts. Otherwise, these items will be reported as Beginning Balance.

County of Court of Jurisdiction

Provides a place for you to specify the name of the court of jurisdiction for this account. The name is used in reports as needed.

Court File Number

Provides a place for you to specify the court identifying number for this account. The identifier is used in reports as needed.

Court Division

Provides a place for you to specify the name of the division of the court of jurisdiction for this account. The name is used in reports as needed.

Current Accounting Type

Provides a place for you to select or designate the type of the current account, i.e., First, Final, Interim, etc. You may select from the list in the drop-down or enter a new one. The type is used in reports as needed.

Print reports using E-File format when supported?

When this option is selected, reports are printed in a format that conforms to the court's requirement for electonically filed documents.
