Beneficiary Distribution Accounts form

This form allows you to create and edit beneficiary distribution accounts. The accounts created here are used to classify actual distributions of cash and property to particular beneficiaries. The accounts also form the basis for beneficiary allocations on the Proposed Distributions form.

Each line on the form will usually represent one income and/or principal beneficiary.

The Beneficiary Distribution Accounts form offers the following options:

Beneficiary Name

Type a beneficiary name. The name becomes a distributions account title. It must be unique to other distribution account titles.

Sort

A sort entry determines the order in which descriptions for principal beneficiaries will print in reports. Enter a numeric or letter code. Non-blank fields have priority over blank fields. Numbers have priority over letters. Default is alphabetical. This is an optional item.

Principal Description

If applicable to this beneficiary, type a description of the principal distribution. The description should include the beneficiary’s name followed by the authority for the distribution. For example, John Doe, Per Article II of Will.

The description you type will appear as a header in the distributions and proposed distributions sections of the various accounting reports. The system will automatically preface your description with To.
